These Days is a drawn meditation on a humble sheet of toilet paper that begins with the perimeter line of a perfect circle and evolves as I attempt to repeatedly copy the preceding line; small mistakes becoming gradually magnified. Begun initially in early 2020 in response to the Covid 19 pandemic this daily work is ongoing - each drawing now marking not only the impact of COVID (World Health Organisation data) but also climate change and war. At least once a year I perform an unrolling of all the rolls.
Performed laying out at An Tobar Arts Centre, March 25th 2023. Camera & Edit: Nina Pope
